- Mohs hardness: 7.5–8
- Care: Clean with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, hard knocks and sudden heat; use ultrasonic or steam cleaning only after professional advice.
- Treatment note: Heat treatment to improve blue colour is common and should be disclosed.
