About Fire Opal
A transparent to translucent opal with yellow, orange or red body colour. It is recognised by warm yellow, orange or red body colour and may or may not show play-of-colour.

- Mineral or material: Hydrated silica (opal)
- Mohs hardness: 5.5–6.5
- Care: Handle gently; avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaning, chemicals, heat and sudden temperature changes. Clean briefly with a soft damp cloth.
